PLAMEN EDREV-MASTER LUTHIER

The EDREV family: Father,  Daughter and  Son- heritage and tradition of an art called "Lutherie"!

 Plamen Edrev /son/ - a master luthier, was born on 11/11/1985 in the town of Kazanlak. He studied at the “Antonio Stradivari” Institute in the city of Cremona, Italy from 2000 to 2005. Plamen graduated under the guidance of the lecturer and luthier Wanna Zambelli. In academic year 2005-2006 he specialized with the luthier Massimo Negroni and was awarded a diploma there.

Plamen works together in a studio with the luthiers Edrio Edrev-father and Radiana Edreva-daughter both in Kazanlak, Bulgaria, and in Cremona, Italy. He keeps in touch with leading world famous master luthiers, tradesmen and musicians. He makes violins, violas and violoncellos. Plamen repairs and restores string musical instruments and is a member of Bulgarian Luthiers Association – town of Kazanlak. 

After graduating, Plamen takes part in many competitions:

• The International Competition Triennale in the city of Cremona, Italy in 2006-2009-2012-2015-2018-2019 

• 3rd award viola - 10º Concorso Nazionale di Liuteria ANLAI – Milano 2016

• Acustic Award Viola- Competition of Santa Cecilia Roma 2016

• 1rd award viola - Concorso internazionale di liuteria di Fermo-Italia 2019

• 2rd award violoncello - 10º Concorso Internazionale di Liuteria Sesto Fiorentino A.N.L.A.I. 2019

•  3rd award viola - 10º Concorso Internazionale di Liuteria Sesto Fiorentino A.N.L.A.I. 2019

• Special award “Scelta stilistica personale piu innovativa” CNA FIRENZE - 10º Concorso Internazionale di Liuteria Sesto Fiorentino A.N.L.A.I. 2019

Since 2005 they have been taking part in International Exhibitions on an annual basis:

• Musikmesse Frankfurt – Germany

• Messe Frankfurt Shanghai - China
